A custom array of 256 ultrasonic transducers, driven by dual synchronized FPGAs, to trap and levitate a Styrofoam bead.

A ~1mm diameter polystyrene bead levitates in mid-air, trapped in a potential well (pressure well) created by a 256 element ultrasonic phased array developed by Andrew Chen, Kevin Lin, James Seto, and Quinn Ferbers.
